Winners of the “Burlesque Dancer” Challenge

Congratulations to Olga Andriyenko, Lidia Macov, Pierre-Alain Dubois for winning the CDChallenge, and to Pierre Rutz, the Special Guest Juror’s Choice this month! Thank you so much to ALL the artists of our community who have submitted their work for this challenge, to our Isabella Mazzanti (read her message below) for accepting to be our juror this month, and to Character Design Quarterly, the official partner of the CDChallenge which makes this project possible.
Special Guest Juror's Message

Hello Challengers! I am a huge fan of the CDC Community and for me it's a great honor to be the Special Juror for this month competition. I've checked the submissions everyday since the beginning of the Challenge and I was enthusiast to see all the over +1000 proposals you submitted. I saw so many amazing interpretations of the Burlesque theme, and to decide a winner wasn't easy at all.
Selecting the proposals was like watching a burlesque show: so many different characters took turns on the stage, and everyone had his chance to tell a story. Someone did it with bright colors, someone else with an incredible design; someone with a bold attitude, and others chose to let us see the person behind the show. I struggled a lot because I really see the passion you put into this challenge. So I decided to use the same criteria I use when I teach character design in my school, so I selected the submissions that have the better visual design plus a strong storytelling.
My final choice go to Pierre Rutz, I think that his character is amazing. She is really alive, I can see the energy, the emotion, and the subtle drama during her exhibition. She is in a momentum of glory, and I loved how he was able to catch it. So all my congratulations to you Pierre, and to all the CDC Community, you are great!
