Art of Dominion Tank Police
/Dominion Tank Police is a four episodes long OVA (Original Video Animation) produced by Agent 21, and directed by Kōichi Mashimo in 1988. The story is an adaptation of Dominion (ドミニオン, Dominion) a manga written and illustrated by Masamune Shirow. The pictures on this page are a collection of artworks created for this anime.
THE STORY
In the grim darkness of the 21st century, civilisation enters its final downward spiral. The world is ravaged by pollution, disease, and it’s so filled with deadly bacteria that people have to wear gas masks outdoors, while armed sociopaths with military-grade weapons purport to uphold the law as they cheerfully slaughter dangerous criminals and innocent bystanders alike in creatively, sadistic ways. Policing this crime-ridden dystopia are police squadrons comprised entirely of rag-tag tank-driving misfits (who may be an even greater threat to the civilians of the city than the criminals themselves are). Leona Ozaki joins Newport City's infamous Tank Police division, and with aid of Al and her newly built mini-tank, Bonaparte, she wages war on criminal kingpin Buaku and his cohorts, the Puma Sisters…
