Art of the Lorax

The Lorax (also known as Dr. Seuss' The Lorax) is an animation movie produced by Illumination Entertainment, and directed by Chris Renaud in 2012. The story was based on the homonym children's book written and illustrated by Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. The second adaptation of the book (following the 1972 animated television special), the film builds on the book by expanding the story of the Lorax and Ted, the previously unnamed boy who visits the Once-ler. The film was fully produced at the French studio Illumination Mac Guff, which was the animation department of Mac Guff, acquired by Illumination Entertainment in the summer of 2011. The pictures on this page are a collection of artworks created for this movie.

To get it, Ted delves into the story of the Lorax, once the gruff guardian of the forest, and the Once-ler, who let greed overtake his respect for nature…
